A familiar ring tone hit me. Nobody would call me in Penang, not as frequent as when I was in Leeds. This time, it doesn't carry a good news but a bad one.
My mom, in her trembling voice, called to tell me that my grandfather has been admitted to hospital due to a road accident.
The first response that comes into my mind is "Lord, why the challenges have to be double the rate of what i can bare?"
If you notice the last entry of mine, you will know that i wanted to start a journal for my prayer. I would like to jot down my experience that i am about to have with God in this new phase of life.
The first prayer is to ask God to place me at the right Church/place for me to continue serving the Lord. The second will be to ask God to lead me the way to my future career. The third one for the Salvation of my family members and relatives. Never have I thought that another big challenge that outrank even the second priority of my prayer list - that is my grandfather's admission to the ICU.
Now i am facing greater challenges which requires me to double or triple my effort in my prayer exercise. Knowing that he suffers from minor fracture on his scalp, his collar bones and a few dislocated and fractured ribs. Doctor added that he suffers from concussion as well. Hearing that really makes my heart broken.
My grandfather has suffered enough in his life to bring up my mom, uncles and aunt. When he is senile and just about to live a relaxing life after retirement, this tragedy happened on him. I really pray that God will take this time to reveal Himself to my grandfather, eventhough throughout his entire life, he never believes in Jesus. But I see this case as an opportunity for me to at least extend my help and to share some Truth to him. I believe that God will heal him and he will be able to stand on his feet again. His recovery will be the best testimony to the public.
People who read my blog, I urgently ask for you guys' prayer. I hope, in the end of the day, you all will be able to be one of the witnesses of this Miracle. Also, continue to pray for the people who face calamity in Myanmar, China and the States. We may not know what will come upon us tomorrow. Pray that people in this world will come back to their senses. Hope that they will leave their past and follow Christ before THE END OF THE DAY arrives.
May God show mercy to His people. Amen.
